littlesister Posted November 2, 2009 Share Posted November 2, 2009 Our friend is on the edge of consciousness and showing some awareness of his surroundings. He was on the vent so long that pulmonary function was diminishing, so they had to do a trach. The situation is better than it was but still very critical and fragile. There is a long way to go.
