[/quote] I agree with KoC that if a man said it, it would instantly be referred to as sexist and not seen in light of a comment meant that some particular women will continue to be conniving etc. I also agreed that if a man said it he would be instantly jumped on for it. I still never said your comment was sexist, and I didn't "pretty much" accuse you of being sexist either. I may have "pretty much" or even actually accused you of SOUNDING sexist, but I specifically clarified that I knew you intended nothing of the sort. Get off my back. I used the word sexist because that would likely be the charge had a man said such a thing. Completely void of the sexist remark, the level of which you are upset would seem to prove the point I was making. Which was at is base, a man says X about women, heck breaks lose. Besides, two wrongs don't make a right--Slappo is not a sexist, and should not be referred to as one unless he actually makes a sexist remark. Which he hasn't. Feel free to use rational thought when engaging in thoughtful discussion with others. He pointed out that there have been gender roles from the first century. I forget exactly what Matt said but it was basically that your hubby should su[i][/i]ck it up and get with the program and clean the dang house. I remember telling him that the way he phrased it was way too harsh and you couldn't just say it to your husband like that even if it was the general gist of the conversation.
