I'm doing okay...I did eat a small sandwich for dinner, and a little something for breakfast. I plan on eating breakfast tomorrow, and then staying away from food till after Mass. Thank you so much for posting this idea!!

This may be late but, I didn't do it. Mainly because I'm underweight, and the more water you drink... you actually slowly loose weight.

Good Friday

I had to break the fast early. I got very, very sick on Good Friday, and pretty much everyone agreed that in the interest of my health I needed to have plenty of fluids and needed to be eating something.

I'm still sick. :(

my friend goes to a Byzentine church and they fast every wednesday and friday...or at least do not eat meat. I thin that is pretty cool if you take it seriously...an ongoing weekly paschal fast!

Got to love this Universality

  • 4 years later...

The usual fast for me--that's more than enough to make me hungry.

Does anyone know if the catechumen/candidates are bound to fasting and abstinence for this one, especially after Confession? I was just curious.
