johnnydigit
i didn't have a set plan, but i think i will try this. the only thing i'm worried about is showing signs of fatigue or passing out at all the events and activities. one Easter weekend i did this from i think Friday until Sunday, and it was one of the best things i ever did. since then, i realized how little a person really needs, and how our culture has us eating way too much, way too often. by the end i wasn't even that hungry and ate very little to be full. i heard that a person can do a three day fast without causing any permanent damage. but then i read that either St. Benedict or St. Francis didn't want his monks to fast for more than two days at a time. there's so many practical biological, psychological, and spiritual benefits to fasting. this is a great time to try it out, or kick it up a notch! LouisvilleFan
I clicked Yes because I thought the Paschal Fast was required of all Catholics... then I read the first post while eating my afternoon bowl of Cheerios. Thus, can't say I'm doing this fast. I was already planning to do a bread-and-water fast (ala e5men.com) for Good Friday through the Easter Vigil Mass.
