It was interesting. It's always sad to me to see the Hagia Sophia surrounded by minarets. I have always thought Cappadocia was cool. Wonder how much longer those images will be there. It's always good to be reminded of the biblical history that lies in Turkey. It's sad that there are only 4,000 Orthodox left in Turkey.

i couldn't believe all those chapels with the icons!! amazing that they have survived.

Yeah, those were fantastic. Just looking and thinking about how many people have loved our Lord throughout 20 centuries...

no kidding. especially the trials and sufferings they have endured. did you notice some of the icons didn't have the faces on them?

it did make me wonder though, about the seminary being closed, that if they had an underground seminary?

I thought it was interesting that their tour guide was a former Baptist from Texas. I would have loved to have heard more about him!
