Why? Because if you claim to be Catholic and are honestly attempting to defend the faith, you have the advantage of having the Truth on your side. Atheists, muslims, satanists (although i've never seen one show up here EVER), protestants and agnostics are in error. People who are in error are going to say wrong things. But I defy anyone to find one place where Jesus got angry at someone because they said something stupid without knowing better. Christ got verbal with folks who should know better. In this realm, that's us. We (the Faithful) know better. We are supposed to be following a double standard. If someone says something blasphemous (and they truly don't believe it to be so) we're supposed to act with charity. And when we don't we SHOULD get warned. (And I'm speaking from personal experience. I've been warned for lack of charity)

The easiest gig in the world is to preach to the choir. Like I said before, if you want to avoid the things being said that are against the faith, go to the Transmundane section. I have yet to see any trolls over there.

Its not the mods being passive or cowtowing to some politically correct mindset. We are going to be called cannibals, idol worshipers, and supporters of genocide. Its the burden of recognizing the Truth.

Being in error shouldn't give people a free pass to deliberately insult the Catholic Faith.

If this post is directed at me, I'm not referring to things like atheists saying God is not real, or Muslims saying that Jesus is not God, but a prophet, but things like posts calling Christ blatantly insulting names.
Such things are not the result of innocent "error." Such people know better.
There's a huge difference between charity and allowing anti-Catholics to trample all over what we hold sacred on a supposedly Catholic forum.

This is off-topic, but I find it interesting. That said, my preliminary research says XX-male parthenogenesis in a human would be no-less miraculous than the supernatural virgin-birth reported by the bible. I'd be interested to hear what you have to say on the topic, perhaps privately?

More on topic, I understand where you are coming from, but I think the use of the "b-word" in that case, while an honest mistake, may have been unwise or imprudent for obvious reasons. Still, I don't know if a warn was warranted.
