cmotherofpirl
Recopied from prayer board - originally posted by Terrafirma - phamily we need to get the beads busy. My husband and I traveled to visit my family over Thanksgiving, and while we were traveling he started to feel unwell, primarily fatigued and slightly flu-y. Symptoms didn't go away within a week or so, and he started also feeling like maybe he had kidney stones, so we went to see a urologist almost two weeks ago. A scan revealed that he had a few stones, but more importantly it revealed a problem with one the lymph nodes in his abdomen. Our general practitioner suspected cancer, and referred us to a local cancer center. We got a full body scan a few days ago, and met with a surgeon yesterday to go over the results. The surgeon told us that nodes throughout my husband's body appear likely to be cancerous (it is most likely a form of lymphoma, in an advanced stage). We have scheduled a biopsy for Monday morning, the results of which will confirm the diagnosis of lymphoma and help us determine the course of treatment we'll take. There is some small chance it could be a rare fungal infection, so the biopsy will let us know if that is the case. We have been married just less than a year, and are expecting a baby in a few weeks. Please pray for us and for our families and friends. We are all still in some degree of shock over this, and things are moving very fast. Please pray that we get solid medical advice and care, and that we ask the right sorts of questions of our doctors and nurses. Please pray for us emotionally as we work through this together, and for the continued health of our unborn child and that we will make it to full term with the pregnancy. cmotherofpirl
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. Amen

Marie-Therese
Decade 2. Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen. St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle! Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into Hell Satan and all evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. Edited December 26, 2009 by Marie-Therese
