I think it will be sooner than later perhaps when the Church matures a bit more. To much seems to be hanging on a thread these days.
This doesn't seem contradictory to you? You've been going on and on about how the Magisterium is not authoritative in regards to canonization, and now you're waiting for another decision by the Magisterium? Are you really expecting it to contradict what it has already stated in previous documents which you just brushed aside? And I'm curious, what signs should we look for to know when the Church has matured enough to trust her decisions in regards to these matters?
With all do respect it would seem more humble to look upon the Church that as stood for 2000 years as more mature and to "trust not in your own understanding" prov 3:5. Have you shown us any kind of a document from any official church source that has said that canonizations are not infallible? I don't think you have. ON the other hand there has been evidence presented to the contrary of your opinion and those are what I am going to put my trust in. Your theories put the whole doctrine of the communion of saints and prayers to saints in jepordy of being a total sham. Of course I don't see it that way at all and have little doudt that St. Gianna is in heaven as JP II declared her to be. Especially when God has confirmed it in such an amazing way through the amazing birth of our daughter, of who 2 years before she was born a woman told us we would have a daughter named Gianna. Our daughter was born right at the time of the canonization of St. Gianna in Rome and the doctor who delivered her and the godmother were both at the canonization. I'm not kidding. I have never known anyone at a canonization before and here the Dr. and Godmother were. The godmother had plans to go there in may before she even knew we were having a baby then. (in case the sarcasm doesn't come across on screen: )
I know you are joking but I was serious. The Church will mature and become considerably wiser and deeper during the first part of the End Times and the Era of Peace like Solomon in all his glory. One of the reasons she is not as wise right now is that the secular world has subtly seeped into a lot of the institutions, the priesthood, the structure of the parish, the liturgy, the universities, Catholic families, etc. ad nauseum. We all see it. Plus all the divisions, the culture wars, the heresies, the schizms, all this is hindering the Church from really blooming. But the Holy Spirit is hard at work. The old ways are gone, but soon in my opinion God is going to transform us into something even better than the old ways.
