It was on very early...very anticlimactic too. I think more people probably remembered him tackling his mom.
That's disappointing. Well... at least I can be happy that the Saints won. Ash Wednesday
WAY TO GO SAINTS!!!!! That Tim Tebow ad was really disappointing. What's funny is that if the liberals hadn't gotten so upset about it, would people have really noticed it?
XIX
That was a great game. That onside kick at the beginning of the second half was the play of the year. Gutsy, game winning call that was followed by a solid minute (or longer) of both teams piling on each other for the football, about twenty different people from either team signaling that they had the football. Ash Wednesday
Oh, and I think Joe Montana is the best ever, and I never rooted for the 49ers. I just know he and Jerry Rice used to kick some serious butts back in the day.
your right. but to even be considered as the greatest, you have to be perfect in the sb and have won at least 1. thats why dan marino, even though he held almost every passing record was never considered the greatest. cause he had never won a sb. so after the sb, you have to look at stats and bradshaw's stats are horrible. joe is considered the greatest come back qb in history, has incredible stats, is 4-0 in the sb, has a great playoff record and has the famous drive in the sb. all that together makes him the greatest. although to be considered the greatest, you have to play your best on the biggest stage and that is something brady and manning have not always done. they are good, they are easily top 10 and by end of career could be top 5, but not greatest. Ash Wednesday
One other thing, seriously they need to stop being so afraid of having newer artists in the halftime show. They can still make it interesting and something people of all ages can watch. I have nothing against established geriatric rockers but after a few years it's getting old. Bring some new blood back. It doesn't have to be Timberlake and I know the boob thing was upsetting for people but come on. I was also disappointed in the commercials, except the fiddling beaver and screaming chickens. XIX
I thought the Tebow ad was terrific. Was it pro-life? Strictly speaking, no. But come on. Everybody and their mother knows the back story. Everybody knows what Mrs. Tebow was alluding to. The ad caused enough of a stir that people know Mrs. Tebow rejected abortion. So why not make the opposition look silly by presenting a touching, non-confrontational message while squashing the idea that they are imposing their views on others? I thought that was very well played. Sure they never mentioned abortion or pro-life, but come on, people know the ad's the first chapter of the story. It wasn't the whole story. The punchline was "www.focusonthefamily.com; Celebrate family. Celebrate life." That's a solid, solid message even if you didn't know what the story was alluding to.
I disagree that you have to be perfect. It is a good argument in your favor if you are perfect, but there are other considerations. For example, Tom Brady led the Patriots to a lead at the end of his fourth Super Bowl. Had the Giants not completed a miracle catch on third down in their final possession, Tom Brady would have won his fourth Super Bowl and would have led a game-winning drive to do so. Had there been more time on the clock at the end of that Super Bowl, I have no doubt that Brady would have driven down the field again to win the game. But there were only 35 seconds left after the Giants scored. So it is inaccurate to say that Brady has not played his best on the biggest stage. He did just that even in the Super Bowl that he lost. It's not Brady's fault that the Patriots defense allowed the Giants to score after Brady gave the Patriots the lead. Peyton Manning, on the other hand, threw an interception at the end of his Super Bowl loss, and that interception put the game out of reach for the Colts. That is why there is a major difference between Manning's Super Bowl loss and Brady's Super Bowl loss.
