I hate to disagree with the article but by far the most dangerous appliance in any house is the electric heater. They actually kill many people yearly, either by fire or electrocution, and there is the occasional trip over the cord and fall to your death.

Interesting. I enjoy my TV shows, for sure, but honestly we don't watch very much TV. Mother Teresa called it "Satan's Tabernacle" -- I think there's something to that!

Sure is, what if you had a guest come into your house and talk crudely about sex, use abusive language, engage in acts of violence, dress immodestly, flaunt drug use and abhorrent lifestyles, would you allow this guest back the next evening? Probably not, but you sure will rush to turn on the tv to see your fave show.

[i][u]Oh, by the way, this is an example of what is on tv and an analogy of those who watch it and is not in no way condemning or singling out anyone here at the phatmass phorum, or their family members or affiliates.

We can't afford cable and I think it's a good thing!! It's hard enough already with the few channels we have, keeping certain programs out of our house.
