I just realized I have no idea whether or not I ate meat last Friday.

Can't remember.

Did anyone else see the news reports I saw -- this is old news, not recent.
That, there was an outbreak of parasites so microscopic that they feed on bees the way fleas feed on dogs. Some form of mite, a really little mite, proliferating and killing off the honeybees. Anyone else hear that one?

They are called Varroa mites. Actually, the main problem for the bees is that they aren't microscopic, so they are pretty huge on a bee. If you think of something about the size of your fist attached to your body, that's about how big they are for the bees. If they get 4 or 5 of those things attached, it makes it really hard to fly straight! If you don't keep an eye on your bees' varroa mites, they will probably kill the colony.

Man, what kind of fleas have you guys got that are killing dogs!?

Thank you for making me laugh so hard that I forgot about my problems for half a minute at least.
Actually the problem where I live is not the fleas; it is described as a rabies "epidemic".
