Plantinga's evolutionary argument against naturalism is brilliant.
Oh no I think you misunderstood my comment. I was responding to people who said they've never heard of any of these guys. I've read a bit from Plantinga, although I don't recall off hand what it was. I think it was a version of the ontological argument... or maybe something else? I don't remember it was like 6 years ago.

Brother Adam
I don't see how you can support this unless you have read these people's reaserch. Anyway, I'm sorry they left out Michael Dummett. He's done brilliant work in intuitionist logic, mathematical logic and Analytic Philosophy. He's the top interpreter of Frege and did great work in the UK combating racism. He's even made contribution to serious biblical scholarship criticizing some philosophical assumptions of many scholars in the field.
You don't need to read all of their works to be able to make that statement. I know the names and something about 75% of the people on the list, I've read about 1/2, and I would call myself truly familiar with about 1/4. Enough of Ratzinger is available in English now to know his thought eclipses most of that list. I would recommend starting with one of the books that synthesizes his approach to theology. It is also difficult to make a list of only living people since many brilliant professors are still developing their work or are even just getting started. It is also difficult because the list is very broad - naming people regardless of discipline. I only named a few theologians off the top of my head, but the list includes a lot of scientists. Regardless, I disagree with the compilers.
