Good day to all readers. I just wanted to ask what is the Church's stand with this Santa Muerte? Watching the clip gives me a creepy feeling thinking of the devil being depicted by the saint. I am grateful to hear your answers. Thanks.

This cult is extremely anti-Catholic in nature and, as I understand the issue, has been condemned by Mexican bishops.

It has its roots in pagan superstition is often mixed with nationalistic prejudices.

However, death is also now, since the Resurrection of Christ, something very Holy.
