zunshynn
The ordination photos of the 6 new FSSP priests for North America are up! (The ordinati at the European seminary will be ordained in July, from what I understand. Press Release Full Photo Gallery I know the 3rd one (Left to Right) is Fr. Rhone Lillard (and the 5th one is either Fr. Garrick Huang or Fr. Simon Harkins... I think), but does anyone know who the others are? I know their names are Fr. John Rickert, Fr. John Shannon and Father Peter Bauknecht, but I don't know who is who. Edited May 29, 2010 by zunshynn
zunshynn
The Cathedral doesn't seem to have looked as ugly this year. Did anyone else notice that? I wonder if they did something.

fides quarens intellectum
Yay for newly ordained priests! All glory to God! I believe our diocese just ordained our newest secular priest this weekend. It seems a lot of ordinations happen late May. Anyway, thanks for posting the good tidings (is this also in Vocation Station?). I will be praying for all of the newly ordained priests of God. aalpha1989
A newly ordained diocesan priest is saying a Solemn High Mass at my parish next Sunday. My diocese is awesome . Sadly I'll be out of town... Oh, and thanks for those pictures, zz. I love looking at pictures of the FSSP. I just went to his first solemn High Mass today. It was so beautiful!!!
jeffpugh
Seems to be a custom to ordain priests within the octave of Pentecost.
Well, they were actually ordained on the Vigil of Pentecost. Is it though? I thought priests were usually ordained in June around the feast of the Sacred Heart. I only said that because I live in Lincoln, NE.
