16 Year Old Confronts Anti Israel Protesters

Notice the mob chants Allah is the greater god. Allah and the God of Abraham are NOT the same.

This morning on NPR they played recordings of transmissions between an Israeli Naval ship and the flotilla....it was amazing....the naval ship warned the flotilla that they were entering a blockaded zone. The supposed "humanitarian aid" ship responded, "Shut up, go back to Auschwitz."
This is not about humanitarian aid, it's about setting a trap for Israel in which they are forced to defend themselves.

I believe "Allahu Ackbar" simply means "God is great," but the video illustrates perfectly the "tolerance" expected of Israel is not given to Israel.

It's such a difficult situation because there is so much propaganda on both sides. Think about who released that tape from the naval encounter, WHY they did it and IF they are trustworthy. If you talk to Catholics in Palestine and Israel they will tell you they aren't too fond of Israel. And Israel is now investigating herself for the flotilla incident. There seems to be a recognition that what happened there was not right. On the other hand most information coming from the Palestinian side is propaganda, too. NPR does seem to try to get both sides which I appreciate... but two sides both spewing propaganda? It offers a diversity of viewpoints but no actual facts.

Propaganda? Do you think that the transmission recordings were fabricated?

Also, can you please offer a source to your claim (or some type of explanation) that Catholics in Israel are not "too fond" of Israel.

Perhaps Israel is committed to an investigation because if Israel does nothing she risks being attacked.

Well it's been prophesied for centuries that eventually all nations will turn against Israel and they will cry out to God ALONE to deliver them. So I think we're just seeing that come to pass. Our country is slowly turning against them (not everyone of course, but the major leaders).

Jesus was Hebrew and I believe He has a tremendous and unfailing love for Israel.

The way I see it is, look at who the media goes after and is biased against the most....it's the Catholic Church and Israel.
The fullness of truth and God's chosen people. I know which side I want to be on!!!

That is so true!!! That really bugs me to say the least. Tolerance for everyone except Israel and anyone who is a Christian. Interesting huh.

I don't know a whole lot about this but I've been learning a little bit about the names of gods vs. the Name of God.

Yahweh is our God, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. He is the Father of Jesus Christ. The triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The god of Islam is not a father, and has no son.

The god of the Koran commands your sons to die for him.

The Living God of the Bible sent His Son to die for you.

In Exodus 23:13 He said,
And in all that I have said to you, be circumspect and make no mention of the name of other gods, nor let it be heard from your mouth.

So I think it really matters a LOT that we know WHO our God is and who He most certainly is Not!
A got an email from a Priest once to join a group "approving the use of the name Allah for all faiths." NOT!!!!

I wholeheartedly agree. The god of Islam is not our God, nor is Allah the god of the Jewish people. To compare Christ and Allah is to compare two entirely different deities. The Father Christ spoke of does not resemble Allah in any way, shape, or form.

The current nation state of Israel can not really be identified with the Biblical Israel. Certainly in Catholic theology they are not considered one and the same. The end times stuff is just silly I think.

Every year my parish hosts Catholics who travel from Bethleham who come to sell their handmade wooden nativity scenes, etc in the United States because they can no longer support their families on the income from tourists alone, thanks in part to the Wall. They are very polite and professional but if you speak to them one-on-one they will express their anguish at what is being done to them at the birthplace of Our Lord. It is not just "the Muslims" or Hamas who suffer as a result of these tactics, but EVERYONE in Palestine, including the Catholic population. The Latin Patriarch of Jersusalem (that's the Catholic bishop) has spoken about this as well but I think he is actually much too dramatic about it, heaping blame on Israel when there is more than enough to go around. After all, there would be no Wall if there were no bombers.

I don't particularly think this tape is fabricated, but if one uses one's critical thinking one can see why we should be on guard. Did they release the entire tape or only a soundbite? Would they release a tape that showed no conflict at all? Everyone, Palestinians and Israelis, releases the information that helps them best, and surpresses information that hurst them. That is what always happens in politics. This results in only 50% of the data getting transmitted, and sometimes when you add the Israeli 50% to the Palestinian 50%, you still do not get the entire 100%.

If I were Israel, I wouldn't want the UN conducting an investigation. The UN is in all out Pander Mode.

The UN might conduct a decent investigation, but I simply don't trust them. They tend to leftist ideals, and don't seem to view individuals as having their own moral agency, but instead refer all human authority to government.

So your claim of "if you talk to Catholics in Palestine and Israel they will tell you they aren't too fond of Israel" is really just a generalization based on the x amount of Catholics your parish has hosted. I find it a bit silly that you talk about the importance of being critical of both sides of the conflict but have no problem jumping to the conclusion that Catholics dislike Israel based on the opinions of a select few.

You have clearly approached this decision with a great deal of study and thought.

I believe the Church discourages us from using "Yahweh", isn't that correct?

How many people are we talking about? Is it four out of five who are expressing anguish? Five out of five? Five hundred out of five hundred? 450 out of 500?
