Justin Bieber affirms his Christian faith against cult rumours

Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber has hit out at rumours that he is a member of the Illuminati and one even claiming that he is dead.

Rumours have started circulating the web after several videos appeared on YouTube in recent months linking the 16-year-old with the secret society and suggesting that his music videos are sending out Illuminati messages.

Conspiracy theorists believe the Illuminati are the real people in power, secretly ruling the world and influencing events through government, institutions and big corporations.

Bieber refuted the rumour on Twitter, insisting he was a Christian.

"I have not joined the Illuminati or any other cult. I'm a Christian and I pray before every show and am thankful for every blessing,” he wrote.

He also dismissed rumours that his mum had been offered $50,000 to pose topless in Playboy magazine.

"My mom is a moral woman ... let's just leave that one for what it is... because that rumour just grossed and weirded me out."

He added that he was very much alive.

He tweeted: "I'm not dead. I had to check this one... but it turns out I'm alive."

Anyone who thought Justin Bieber was involved in an Illuminati-level conspiracy clearly has several issues, and I daresay that their belief in elaborate secret societies is NOT at the top of the list.

considering that justin bieber didnt even know what "German" was [citation] i find it hard to believe him at the center of any sort of conspiracy. or even really aware what christian faith means.

Well, it does sound like he's asking him something about "Jim in for basketball" and then "Is German for basketball?" I still don't know what the real question is supposed to be either.

Well at least he's not afraid to admit that he's Christian, despite the "Hollywood lifestyle" being almost violently opposed to such morality. I would find it interesting to find out if he goes to church every Sunday, and what exactly his moral beliefs are. Until then I see him as just another Hollywood teenager who will, more than likely, turn out like the rest.

But what he said was this, "Okay... Justin... Um... Bieber. sorry... is German for basketball, true or false?" It's confusing and once you have in your mind what's being said, seeing it doesn't always help. The interviewer should have rephrased the question saying something like "Is the word "bieber" German for basketball?" instead of repeating "is German for basketball" over and over.

Not that I like him or anything, but this was just a brain freeze. I believe one of his grandparents is actually German, or something along those lines.

Has he even gotten to learning about the Illuminati in school yet (that is, if they would even get around to covering it at all)?

Ya know, I was really expecting that the cult in question was something more like the Moonies or Scientology or something... Illuminati is sort of a highbrow cult.
