Slappo
Dude, Apo said earlier to "vote what you relate to".
Seeing as I don't attend the EF... for the time I relate to the OF. If I move to a location that regularly celebrates the EF I may regularly attend it, but even that isn't a for sure thing. KnightofChrist
What are EF and OF?
Sort answer: The two different forms of the Latin Rite of the Holy Mass. EF = Extraordinary Form, or Traditional Latin Mass. OF = Ordinary Form, or Novus Ordo. Anastasia13
HEY I just realized there is no option for Islam on this poll... I smell BIGOTRY <img src='http://www.phatmass.com/phorum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/madder.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':madder:' />
There is also no option for Karaite Judaism (differentiated from Rabbinic or Messianic), Assyrian Church of the East, Pagan or Wiccan, Satanism, Hinduism, or Buddhism or Confusionism though these are more thought of as philosophy. These all go under Non-Christian religion. Personally, I would combine Rabbinic and Karaite Judaism. MithLuin
Wow! Considering how suppressed the TLM has been, and how unavailable it still is, the 20% number above is pretty epic. I wonder what percentage of the OF voters have even been to the EF? I was fortunate enough to have an EF hook up many years ago but even then I didn't start to appreciate it until maybe the fourth or fifth time I checked it out. Thankfully someone dropped a little Archbishop Sheen volume on me (Amazon | PDF) and I started to get it. Generations of Roman Catholics have been robbed of so much by the barbarous and scandalous suppression of that holiest and most venerable prayer of the Church.
I have attended 3 times, in three different circumstances (one being a very intimate private mass, one with choir, etc.) I'll certainly go again, given the opportunity, but it's more of a 'novelty' I guess. I attend my home parish ordinarily, and that is the mass I've grown up with. I have also attended a Russian Orthodox service as well as various Methodist, Lutheran and Nondenominational services as a visitor. And a Jewish wedding, if that counts.
