Welcome to the club
Hmm, I'm trying to decide if you or Socrates is more evil......It's tough, some people might say Socrates is more evil, but when he acts evil, he knows exactly what he is doing and the effect he is trying for, and he is not nearly as evil as he would like us to believe. You may not be quite as evil as Socrates, but sometimes you're more evil than you realize or intended. In the end, however, Socrates has more experience at being evil, so I'll give him this one. As to which of you is more rad-trad, I don't know (or care). I try to stay away from theology debates. I realize that the fact that I stay away from most of those debates makes some people think I'm stupid or causes them to take me less seriously. That's their error. I know exactly when (and why) I choose to post or not. I prefer to be underestimated. Plus, I lack the necessary qualifications for spitting contests. Slappo
I'm sure you're right, but my comment was directed to Slappo, who is newly married. Who knows, if you get married someday, your opinion might change, too. And, come to think of it, I don't remember if Slappo ever said he agreed with me--probably not. I never pretended that my point was logical. And, I DID say that I was going to trust Christ that I will like heaven when I get there. I suspect you took my post just a mite more seriously it was intended to be read.
My wife helps me get to heaven. Through suffering... lots and lots of suffering... Laudate_Dominum
Wow! Considering how suppressed the TLM has been, and how unavailable it still is, the 20% number above is pretty epic. I wonder what percentage of the OF voters have even been to the EF? I was fortunate enough to have an EF hook up many years ago but even then I didn't start to appreciate it until maybe the fourth or fifth time I checked it out. Thankfully someone dropped a little Archbishop Sheen volume on me (Amazon | PDF) and I started to get it. Generations of Roman Catholics have been robbed of so much by the barbarous and scandalous suppression of that holiest and most venerable prayer of the Church. The Ordinary Form is the celebration of the Roman mass according to the modern missal composed in the late 1960s, while the Extraordinary Form involves the celebration of the mass according to the older missal codified after the close of the Council of Trent by Pope St. Pius V.
