In the beginning, I walked like Frankenstein's monster. Nothing would bend. My husband and I are going to celebrate tonight by going for a walk, probably on the disc golf course. CatherineM Posted November 4, 2010 Author Share Posted November 4, 2010 I was in the US, so I never had any therapy, of any kind. I was hurt outside my office door, but inside my office building. My private insurance wouldn't pay because I was at work, and workman's comp wouldn't pay because I wasn't in my office. I couldn't afford to pay for it myself. I started by doing one sit up at a time until I was up to 1200 sit ups a day, and then eventually using my wheelchair like a walker.
