OnlySunshine
I just had a rough day after hitting a curb really hard (even though I thought I cleared it) and my tire hit it and the hubcap came flying off and landed in the middle of the street. It's been 5 years since I learned how to change a tire and I could tell that I needed to put the spare on because air was hissing out of the tire and was creating a slow leak. I didn't remember how to change the tire, so I had to call my dad to come and help. It turns out, when he got there, that he said the valve stem had been snapped and broken. It left a crack at the base and was letting air leak out. It wouldn't even hold the air from the compressor at all, it would just come right back out. So, we put the donut tire on and I drove slowly home. I'm really concerned because I hope that the valve stem is the only problem and it can be fixed without buying a brand new tire. I just had a tire replaced about a month ago and my tires were aligned and balanced. I bought the tire that was leaking from a nearby tire center, so I plan to take it tomorrow since I bought road hazard protection when I bought it. Hopefully, they can fix it for about $15 or free. I cannot afford a new tire right now, and I couldn't afford the other one. My parents paid for it. Please pray that it can be fixed quickly and inexpensively.
