It seems like they went through some kind of reform around 2010 and were welcomed to move their Motherhouse into the Diocese of Petrópolis. Yet, they’re not listed on either Diocese’s list of Religious Congregations. http://diocesepetropolis.com.br/femininas https://www.diocesedeanapolis.org.br/comunidades-religiosas-femininas/ It's possible that this community is not in-line with the Roman Catholic Church--or at least, does not seem to be a recognized Congregation in either the Diocese in which it was founded or the Diocese in which it is currently based. I didn't do a full search of the diocesan websites--just a cursory review of the female congregations. Orans Posted November 2, 2019 Share Posted November 2, 2019 It might be prudent to review the extensive information they provide in the links posted above before coming to conclusions against their condition in the Church with no basis whatsoever -Lack of information where you are looking for may just mean that you are looking in the wrong place, or many other neutral things. This is a public forum and yor suspition will remain perpetually in the Web associated with this community... and will be enough for other "over prudent" people to repeat what was said here as the prove of a fact. The Arca de Maria website seems to be for the male as well as female branches. It lists addresses in Portugal, Spain and Italy as well as Brazil - but doesn't specifiy whether these communities are male, female or mixed. Orans - you seem to know a lot about this community. You say the sisters are already VERY welcome in several diocese in several countries - perhaps you could tell us where, exactly? And as Hna Caridad has said, it's possible, especially as they are so new, that they are still a private/public association of the faithful, and therefore not listed with recognised religious orders. (here in the UK, the National Office of Vocation makes a distinction in the listings on its website). But given that there have been past instances of people innocently posting links to communities which are not [yet] recognised, there's no harm in looking for independent verification of their status.
