I don't think I'd want to date a woman with piercings or tattoos, but that's probably just me...

Well...I'm getting a little desperate so I may have to lower my standards. Maybe I should open myself up to paralytics as well. :(

Yeah...I just wish a yankee would come down my way. I'd say hi, how ya doin', and she would say, "yup," but she would be thinking how sexy my drawl is. Yankees.

That is until she heard me order a diet coke or say Hail Mary's!

(I don't like the way it sounds when I say it. It sounds like hell mary. :( )

but nipples aren't sexual organs, they are part of the milk-providing system of the body. it's society that has made them sexual.

what about nose rings? does that bother people? i have a tiny little stud in my nostril. what about earrings? what about getting the cartilage in your ears pierced? where is the line drawn?

I'm not one to criticize what you like or don't like, but honestly, thats sick shelly.

As far as an SUV and what not, he may, if happened to get him from Nazerth to Jerusalem faster. I think the things you listed really aren't releavent, in that they are hardly worth being considered sinful. No one comes on here and asks if it's ok to have an SUV to drive, or a Krispy Kreme....... people due (because their concious tells them to) ask about tattoos/peircings. I think you'd be very wrong in suggesting some kind of similiarity, as one doens't cause the concious any trouble, while the other disturbs it. Just a note, our concious, if formed correctly, can be a good way to know when we are doing wrong. If anything is on it, then it should be considered with the utmost care as to not go against God, because it may very well be God's will tha tyour concious bothers you.

Nipples are sexual organs, or else, they wouldn't of been covered in Asian/European/Native American/ several African cultures. Breasts are sexual organs, because they have to do with the process of reproduction, and play a singular role in a womans life, to feed the baby that came out of her. A nipple is on a breast, hence sexual organ.

Nose rings? again personal taste, if I for some reason came to believe that peircings were fine, I'd avoid those. Agian, would Jesus get a nose ring, or a stud in his nose? Would Mary get an earring? Even if you think she would, she was the new Ark, and since nothing could damage the old one, neither could anything damage the new one. She was the first Christian, and is the best example we have.

God bless,

Mikey

How can you imply that Jesus wouldn't get a tattoo???!!!! You have no possible way to know that! Just because you think it's sinful or tacky doesn't mean that Jesus wouldn't have done it. Jesus cured the sick and blind on the Sabbath (which the Pharisee's deemed sinful at the time), and spoke to women in public (considered tacky by many at the time). You have no way of knowing what Jesus would do if he lived in our times and culture, and frankly, I think it's rather haughty to pretend that you can predict what our Lord and Savior would or wouldn't do if he were living in the times and culture of today.

Peace,

TIm

There is nothing wrong with getting a tattoo or piercing as long as it isn't...

- Excessive (half of your body covered in them)
- In the genital or nipple areas (I think they look ugly on the tongue too)
- Inappropiate tattoo images (such as Satanic or whatnot)

...I am thinking about getting a tattoo somewhere on my upper arm, still not sure of what yet. It'll be Christian/Catholic imagry of sometype.

Oh, so you think God would get a peircing? I think it's not a matter of opinion here, I really don't think anyone would honestly say God would get a tattoo.

If you think my claim for saying I know what Jesus would do is arrogant, then rest assured, it doesn't come from some greater than thou mindset, but from the time I spend in Adoration, just me and Jesus, and I get to know Him. After a while, you begin to know things about Him that you wouldn't have known before. I thought peircings and tattoos were cool once, so it isn't anything that I just came up with to be evil. It came from some serious time thinking over my life and talking to God. I'd hate to say calling me names because I happen to indulge in my spiritual life, and get some real knowledge of His existance, isn't valid ground.

"I am the Son"
