Thy Geekdom Come
I agree with Oik for the most part. I don't like tattoos at all and I think any piercings should be designed to glorify God through one's beauty by accentuating it, not obstructing it. Oik
I actually find some tatoos and pierceings to be acestically (sp) pleasing. However, things things are like filthy rags compared to the works of my Jesus. Many people get religious tats, which is cool...for a time. Everthing passes, but God will never change. He is Glorious! I knew a girl who got a tat to remind her to pray every time she saw it. I tell you that the Chruch offers several beautiful and wonderful devotions and sacramentals for this purpose. The Crucifix is a reminder, a Sacred and Holy image of Christ. We are Truly Blessed with our Catholic culture and all it has to offer. Like a said before, these things are like fiflthy rags in comparison.
Lil Red
+JMJ+ YES, I REALIZE THIS THREAD IS YEARS OLD....
Paladin, would Jesus get a tattoo, do you think? How about, say, Mary? St. Francis? St. Thomas Aquanis? St. Theresa? John Paul II? Mother Theresea? God bless, Mikey
the thing is, in a hundred or so years, there will most likely be people declared saints that have tattoos.
The Eucharist is glorious and beautiful. Our Faith is alive and nothing can compare.
