--oh, another frequent critique is that the film was too mushy.  But my pastor made a good point about that.  The French culture is far more expressive of love and affection than American culture.  Families in France or Italy might find nothing unusual about the Martins' familial affections.
"They will know we are Christians by our love............. "

That is how Leonardo Defilippis himself described the great love the Martins had for each other - That love is no fiction..... its real... the way it really was..... and the way it should be for us all.

Your Pastor was right as well !

God bless and thanks for your review daveybe :D

 THERE IS HELD OVER BY POPULAR DEMAND

Great work! Last week's email message encouraged you, the followers of Saint Therese, to go see the movie and be blessed by its simple message. Your remarkable attendance resulted in ALL of the theaters that opened over the past weekend being held over for at least one more weekend! Now even more people can see the movie and reflect on the Theresian message.

Last weekend was evidence that you can have a direct effect on how long the movie plays at your local theater. This weekend offers the opportunity for many new cities to show the same kind of support and demonstrate the enormous demand for faith-based movies.

Stay Close to Mary, Advises John Paul II

VATICAN CITY, NOV. 9, 2004 (Zenit.org).- Mindful of the rapid changes that mark contemporary society, John Paul II encouraged Catholics to maintain their relationship with the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Pope explained this in a letter sent to Cardinal Salvatore De Giorgi, archbishop of Palermo, congratulating him for Sicily's celebration of the 150th anniversary of the proclamation of the dogma of the immaculate conception of Mary.

"In a rapidly changing world, there are some things that should not change," the Holy Father wrote. "Among them, surely, is the bond of filial love between members of the Church and the Virgin, 'full of grace,' whom Jesus, from the cross, entrusted to us as Mother."

"Amid the joys and hopes, sadness and sorrows of life, Mary is the sign of consolation and sure hope," he stated.

"She is so for the elderly and youth, for families and consecrated persons," the Holy Father added, imploring "the maternal protection of Mary Immaculate."

Hello (name)...God Bless you and your wife. My name is (name), and iread your message concerning the release of Therese on DVD.Today i called The president of Luke films and talked to him for about 10 minutes.(My brother Tony has incurable cancer and cant get out to see it either)..I asked him if there was anyway that i could get an early copy of the movie...He informed me that unfortunatly not,and also said it would not be released until about 6 or 7 more months on DVD.I told him the doctors only gave my brother only 6 months to live and that was 2 months ago..he is in pain, and has good and bad days but is still alive.Anyway,he told me he has been getting a lot of requests from people who are either real sick or housebound, and he offered to send me a DVD of parts of the movie...I was overjoyed and gave him my brothers address, and told him thank you very much and for God to Bless him and he said the same to me,and told me to pray to Saint Therese, and i do,because she said after she died she wanted to do come back and do good here on earth.I prayed to her the other night to ask her to let my brother get better and to let the swelling in his right leg and foot go down.(his right foot was twice as big as his left)...well the next day the swelling in his right foot was gone completly...but it is now swelling again,so i may need the little flowers help again..anyway...I am going to give you a toll free number you can call, and ask to speak to the president of luke films, and you will be transferred to his secretary and if he is in she will put you in touch with him.His name is Leonardo Defilippis, and the toll free number is 1-800-661-9193.He is a very kind man..I hope this helps you and your wife...please pray for my brother Tony.....and may God Bless You both..
