Angelone
From the Yahoo movies' forum: Little things with great love by (login name) Oct 3, 2004 11 of 11 people found this review helpful I'm not a Catholic and knew nothing about Therese before going to the movie. I was touched by her simplicity, and her childlike, not childish, faith. The movie is slow going. It spends too much time before the convent and not enough time in the convent. But it does show how a spoiled, pampered child became a simple seeker of holiness. However, I wish I had seen more of her growth in the convent. We were shown touches only. I was moved to order her autobiography. This is a film that will leave you peaceful.

There is not a large amount of translation to be done – usually just one or two pages of English text per week. If anyone would be willing to offer their help with French translation, please contact us at spanishpr@theresemovie.com THERESE SOUNDTRACK STILL AVAILABLE For the first time ever, the inspirational music created by Sister Marie Therese Sokol O.C.D. for the THERESE motion picture can be yours! Sister Marie Therese, an accomplished composer and cellist, is a cloistered Carmelite nun. Her music brings a feminine sensitivity and romantic sensibility, and is a beautiful reflection of her deep spiritual understanding of Therese. "This movie soundtrack is one of the most beautiful I have ever heard," says Del Spiva, music editor for such movies as Pearl Harbor, Blackhawk Down, Spiderman, and The Last Samurai. "It is worth sending to the Academy Awards because of its distinguished merit." The striking spiritual soundtrack, with magnificent and prayerful expressions of each character and moment in the film, was meticulously composed. In Mr. Defilippis’ own words, "Sister Marie Therese and I planned out very carefully the themes for many of the characters, but particularly for the climactic moments in the film, such as the death of Thérèse’s mother, the Christmas conversion, the trial of faith, and the Joan of Arc play. The composer’s discoveries and her musical translations of our conversations became a spiritual retreat for both of us. As you listen, think of heaven, and the music will lead you to a higher realm."
