Scofizzle
wow.. i wouldnt be surprised if they all converted to the evangelism of the Catholic Church... hey they actually prayed for the Church to be strengthened! what an ironic prayer!
I would hope that they would change their ways first......we don't need all the fakeness....
Guest Eremite
I know Benny Hinn grew up in Israel, and attended Catholic school. But no, he was never a priest.

PadrePioOfPietrelcino
I was watching TV last night and saw Benny Hinn doing one of his televangelist shows at the Vatican. He was talking about how deeply he was moved by the funeral service and how suprised he was on how Christ-centered it was. He had some other evangelists talk about how holy the Catholic church is and how they were touched by how powerfully the Holy Spirit was working inside the church, etc, etc. They went on and on about how great the Catholic church is and how it glorifies Christ. etc, etc. I was freaking out. Then, at the end, they all prayed that the church would convert to evangelism. hahaha... I knew there was a catch.
This sounds familiar... My own studing and Conversion was prompted by a love for Catholics, and "wanting to save them from there obvious diviations from the truth of the Bible." I started studing the Catacheism, Vatican II, and Canon Law. I then got involved in my Universities Catholic Center to get hands on experience with these "misguided" Christians, by the end of the semester I recognized Catholicism as a "legitamate for of Christianity." After summer break I came back and was invited to join some Catachism Classes, and later that semester decided to become Catholic. The hardest part about converting was leaving my protestant ministry, and trying to explain to the fallen away Catholic Pastor I worked under why I was becoming Catholic. Anyway God does have a better sense of irony than anyone can imagine, after all he gave us ours.

Pontifex
With all seriousness, I think Benny Hinn could very well be the anti-Christ. On his show on TBN during the Pope's death he said that he wanted all those watching his show to call all of those watching cnn (The Pope coverage) and tell them that they are talking about a dead man, we are talking about a live man. He is nothing more than a swindler. Pontifex

I know he is a swindler and a fraud, but how can he be the Anti-christ? Has He claimed to be the Messiah? sam

Pontifex
Benny Hinn was making the point that the media was spending so much time talking about the Pope, who was dead, and they needed to be watching is distorted views on Christianity. He may not be claiming to be the messiah overtly but I don't think and overt confession of messiahship, so to speak, is necesarry. I know the scripture, but it doesn't mean it is literal. Anyway, he may not be the antichrist, but he is a antichrist anyway.
