His Emminence, Edward Cardinal Egan, has found serious problems with a "catholic" institution allowing a pro-abortionist -- Sen. Hilary Clinton-- to speak at a university event and for conferring upon her an honorary doctorate. This is the second time he has stripped a college of his title as 'Catholic'. Go cardinal Egan!!!!! (Though I think Steubenville, Christendom and Ave Maria I hear are very good) I heard they had the first Eucharistic procession on Notre Dame's campus in 40 years!!! Catholic universities -- namely Notre Dame -- used to be premeir universities, wrt to orthodoxy, but now they have been caught up in the "Church of New Ways" mentality... argent_paladin Posted May 3, 2005 Share Posted May 3, 2005 I agree with Cmom completely. Many "Catholic" colleges stopped being truly Catholic decades ago. I pity the parents who scraped their savings for years to send their children to Catholic colleges so that they could grow stronger in the faith only to be lead into error by the professors and encouraged to sin by their fellow students. kateri05 Posted May 29, 2005 Share Posted May 29, 2005 wow. i don't know if this is in response to their eviction from catholic colleges or not but i went to their website and there is not a LICK of evidence that they are a catholic school on there except for a) their name and 2) they were founded by an order. so sad!
