3:30 lull

Carrie

Recommended Posts

Everyday I sit here at work, doing what I do best. But around 3:30 my brain starts to wander with thoughts of caffeine and a nap. I can't think of anything else!! :wall:

Everyday I try to fight these urges to either drink some coffee or fall asleep at my desk. It's pure torture, so...

I'm sitting here with a yum cappuccino

Do you have a midafternoon lull too?

Brother Adam

Drink juices instead, or even Gatorade. The sooner you are off caffeine you'll be shocked at how much better you feel.

It's alot better for me than taking a nap at my desk and getting fired.

:rolling: When I was pregnant with my first child, I would sneak naps. I was teaching and I would try to curl up on the beanbag chair in the reading corner during recess... I'd wake up with little foam pellets all over...

I used to go through the same thing. But - if you'll give up sugar and white flour (if you can), you'll find that your energy level remains pretty even throughout the day. Also, if you can get 8 hrs. of sleep each night, that will do wonders. :D

Oh my yes...

3:30 - 4:15 my brain shuts down...i need to coffee klatch with the co-workers or I won't survive.

And maybe some reeces pieces...

Those usually do the trick.

C'mon 5:00!!!!!!!!!

Having been raised by cats, I fully endorse napping.

OTOH, tea will do if a nap isn't possible.

[quote name='Tony' date='Jun 16 2005, 03:18 PM']We should have Siestas here like they do in Spain.. sounds like they are onto something :)

I second the idea of siestas.....work from 8-12, siesta/eat from 12-3 or 4 and work from 4-8,

Sounds like a plan!
