America's Most Beautiful Catholic Churches

:saint: We all take pride in our home parishes. I happen to adore mine and proclaim it to be the most beautiful and imtimate House of God in my world, housing the finest of Rectors the world over and a great, newly Ordained Bishop...Where are your homes?

DannyBoy hails from Cathedral of St. Joseph parish, Wheeling, WV...and gives "his" Cathedral an infinite number of votes... :shades:

My favorite spot in the whole world is the Don Orione shrine in East Boston. It has a 35 ft. statue of our Lady overlooking Boston up on a hill, and a beautiful Church downstairs. I'm there all the time. It's right near my house.

It's not my home parish, but the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in D.C get my vote. I love that place.

Thanks St. Al....I have some pretty good shots but don't know how to post them, the ones you found don't suffice the beauty...I'll keep trying.

I've liked the cathedral of the Peoria diocese ever since I went there for Holy Thursday (and then got confirmed there two days later :) )

Found these on Google:

When I move to Boston next month, Holy Trinity will become my new parish. Unfortunately, it's scheduled to be closed down in mid-December, so by winter I'll be looking for another church again. :(

Anyhow, here's a pic:

Just FYI, the Tridentine Mass will move to St. James the Greater Church, not too far from Holy Trinity.

Be sure to visit the Mission Church while you're here, too. Beautiful place.
