RC_
I drink orange juice pulp...I'll actually strain the juice, pour the pulp into my glass, mix it about 50/50 with the juice. I refuse to drink the "pulp-free" stuff.

We also kept chickens and ducks and grew most of our own vegetables. Eventually we also kept steers. hence we became adept at many weird things such as knowing when a cow was "ready". Laudate_Dominum
Like most seminaries of that era ours was a combination of academic formation and a farm where we milked cows to supply the seminary with milk, cream and coagulated milk.
LOL! That is kind of weird. But it reminds me of one of my favourite daydreams. The establishment of a Catholic school of sorts that combines the study of Philosophy, Theology, History, Spirituality and the like, with hands on farming and various crafts. The idea is to have a largely self-sufficient community in order to keep costs down. Not to mention it would just be neat. Something like a medieval monastic community but it would be a college. It would be free but students would have to work doing various chores. But chores would be rotated so you get a full experience. The interesting part is that I have many details worked out including specific courses, a list of books and things which will have been read by the end of the program (call it a great books list) and many other details. One problem is that I've mapped out an 18 year program. It is a graduated program so one need not complete the entire 18 years, but it would be ideal. After completion of the 18 year program a person will have read something like 5,000 books and countless articles and things.. I even have a unique teachings methodology and philosophy worked out. It's basically just something that is what I wish existed (I would join in a heart beat), but I doubt many would share my enthusiasm. The hours of the day are allocated as follows: 4 = Work 5-6 = class/study 3-4 = Mass/Prayer 3 = Free time (more prayer, study or sleep if needed) 8 = Sleep Of course Sunday is all Mass/prayer, free time/recreation and sleep. What happens after the 18 years you may wonder? The person becomes a full-time apostle, using their knowledge and spiritual maturity in such ways as: writing beautiful and profound books; entering into the scholarly milieu to battle error and defend the truth; teaching courses; whatever God calls them to. My hope is that it would be a source of intellectual crusaders for the Church. Something like Jedi Knights.

Anastasia13
Once I counted how many stars I could see. It was around 73, but I don't remember exactly and took me 7 or 8 tries.
