Carrie
We should compare collections some time. I scandalized Don John at first. But you'd be truly surprised what he'll listen to now...... I'm so evil.....
We should! Don John listens to scandalous music? Carrie
For Kilroy: A list of artists I have in my music collection. I’m not going to name each individual album because this could take a long long time. : Metallica Guns N Roses ( I loved them!) Skid Row Motley Crew Skinny Puppy Pearl Jam Nirvana Type O Negative Alice in Chains Aerosmith Audioslave Soundgarden Tommy Lee (his new album is actually really good) Stone Temple Pilots Third Eye Blind Seether Matchbox20 Trapt Staind Marilyn Manson Megadeath Tori Amos Sarah McLoughlin Nine Inch Nails Offspring Green Day Lifehouse Hoobastank Pink Floyd Puddle of Mudd Rage Against the Machine Beastie Boyz They Might be Giants U2 3 Doors Down Abba D Generation Depeche Mode Franz Ferdinand Gavin DeGraw Jimmy Eat World Tina Ann Rhianna Neve Sheryl Crow Smashing Pumpinks Switchfoot and a bunch of soundtracks. I know there’s quite a bit more. That’s just off the top of my head.

jasJis
What about the lyrics to '(I don't want to be) An American Idiot!"? Generally anti-American or a different message? Edited October 11, 2005 by jasJis

Generally anti-American or a different message?

Don't wanna be an American idiot. One nation controlled by the media. Information nation of hysteria. It's going out to idiot America.
Sounds kind of... anti (American) media. (Not posting all the lyrics because some parts may be offensive.) The first time I heard that song I thought it made a very important point. I have in-laws who support torture and a police state because they're afraid. Oh, and they are Catholic. LuchaporElRey21
Yeah, dookie is by far the best cd ever but I like the new one too. And I guess we are alot alike, finally someone on here that's at least a little bit like me, I was starting to feel like an alien.
No, I thought "International Superhits" was the best. It didn't have all the other filler tracks bogging down the cd where the lead singer is just ranting. In "Superhits", the listener gets only the goods. Completely off topic, but I also agree with Peach_Cube. The newest cd is political, and immoral garbage and should be chucked out the window immediately (Hey, it worked for my copy of "The DaVinci Code"!) crusader1234
I don't see how ANYBODY can be pro-American media. Whats important to us is determined by corporate interests, and you're usually only getting once side of a story. I don't see why anybody would want to be an American idiot. American Idiot is not anti-Bush, its anti mass media.
