homeschoolmom
My two year old's favorite new word is La-lay-loo-la! (which is Alleluia, if you couldn't figure it out)... He especially enjoys shouting it at church, though never during mass... or whenever he sees a crucifix....
Last evening we were at church and I was pointing out the different crosses and he kept saying lalayloola... I pointed to the front crucifix and asked him if he knew who that was... He again said lalayloola. I said, "no. can you say Jesus?" He said, "Jeeeee... nope Lalayloola." Lil Red
A friend from college has a little brother who's 20 years younger. One day, my friend was home, and he and his father were standing in the driveway discussing removing dog mushy mud pie from the yard, and the little brother, 3 at the time, was playing close by. Instead of saying the word "mushy mud pie," which my friend was sure his brother would pick up, my friend chose instead to say "fecal matter." His little brother thought THAT sounded like a fun phrase, and so began to walk up and down the driveway chanting, "Fecal matter, fecal matter, fecal matter." missionseeker
O.k. so when we went to our old church (sounds awful, I know) we went to Mass on Tuesdays at 10:00. We stopped going to that church in March. But lately (like for the past 2 months) Dominic (the 3 yr. old) comes up to Mom at 9:00-9:15 on Tuesday and says "Let's go to Mass now. Pader needs us. Our old Pader. " It's kind of scary how it's been months now, and he does this at the right time on the right day every week. missionseeker
Last week some time, my dad made me move the car (I don't drive) Then, about 2 days later I was talking to Dominic (the 3 yr old), and he told me that "Dad is the only one who can drive and he is the best driver in the world." I asked well what about Mom(who drives a school bus) and Christina (older sister) and said they could drive o.k. Then I said "What did you think about me driving?" And he said "It was obnoxeeous, Tatin"

phatcatholic
speaking of death, the other day my 5-yr old cousin came into the kitchen crying, w/ my uncle trailing behind him. i asked what was wrong, and my uncle said that my cousin was sad b/c he didn't know what he was gonna do if his dad (my uncle) died. awwwww do 5-yr old kids usually think about that stuff?
