[quote name='God the Father' date='Jan 14 2006, 06:11 AM']Geniuses? Hardly. More like idiots, maybe.

Nonetheless, I wouldn't be talking about them like this. Kids aren't that smart, but they're smarter than most people think. I remember when I was(am?) a kid I'd pretend to be even stupider than I was, to keep expectations low. I know I'd be [mod] don't say that[/mod] if my parents went on the internet bragging about all the stupid things I'd done that made them so happy.

Right now we're all talking about siblings. In fact, not a whole lot of actual parents have posted on here.

Yes, of course.

This is nothing genius it's gross really but my three year old brother has figured out how to make himself throw up if he doesn't want to eat dinner. He's getting to be really willful. (However, the prospect of having to clean it up has curbed his use of it )

And I wanted to bump the thread.

The other night my brother had a dream that he hugged the bishop after a Confirmation Mass(my sis had gotten Confirmed a couple days before and he always hugs Father after Mass) but the Bishop didn't know his name and called him "Buddy"

So the other day we were going to my other sister's Confirmation and

he wouldn't get ready so I was like "Dom, the Bishop will be there,

come on" and he said "Who's he? and I said "you know, the

guy with the 'pope hat' (Dom's word for Miter -sp?) and he was like "I'M

NOT GOING HE DOESN"T KNOW MY NAME AND HIM CALLED ME BUDDY

AND I NOT GOING!!"

So after Mass, he hugged Father and Father said "Hey there, little

Buddy" and he was so mad.

It was too funny. Mostly cuz he doesn't realize that buddy is a generic

name because that's my dad's name.

Not religious, but they're good ones that I heard (Kayla is Lisa's 3 year old niece):

Lisa: You are such a Little Ham!
Kayla: You're the Big Ham! And Tom's a Big Ham.
Lisa: Well, then what's Nick, the Medium Ham?
Kalya: No, he's the coagulated milk.

Lisa (at the dinner table): Kayla, we don't put our forks between our toes.
Kayla: But I'm exercising.

Lisa: I'm gonna go hop in the shower.
Kayla: [Laughs] You don't hop in the shower, you're not a froggie.

Last night my lil bro was talking to me da on the phone (he was in VA dropping a sis off at theater camp) and he told him that they were looking everywhere and he couldn't find his home yet. He asked Dad "Do you know where my big home is?"

He'll be home tonight so he can find it.

 :console:

i have to share the convo i just had w/ my 5-yr old cousin Jackson:

Jack: "watcha doin?"
Nick: "reading a magazine"
Jack:: "hey, that man [in the magazine] has his hands in the air."
Nick: "do you know who that is?" [its a pic of Jesus]
Jack: "its the priest saying prayers"
Nick: "that's very good, buddy"

then i patted him on the head and he walked off :) that made me really happy, to hear that response :D:

I concur with the title of this thread. I have a five-year-old brother and he puts us [i]all[/i] in the shade. One of his favorite activities is belting out songs from the musicals he's memorized in a perfectly pitched voice while swinging in our barn. :detective:

And you should hear him talk whenever he spots litter alongside the road. He'll go on a positive rant about how people who litter are disrespecting the earth which God gave us to take care of. Pretty neat.

My little brother Mikey not too long ago:

Me: "Mikey, you're not supposed to be so cute."
Mikey: "It's not like God put a limit on how cute you can be!"
Me: "Yes He did. You're breaking the law, you're going to jail."
Mikey: "No! I'll prove myself innocent!"

kids are the best!

I don't know how long it took me to explain to my oldest that the priest was not actually Jesus, just sorta a representative of Jesus. He would say hi to the priest by saying "Hi Jesus!" for the longest time...

LOL kids are fun that way...

Too cute! A friend of mine once heard a child say, in reference to their brand new parish priest, "Hey Mommy, we got a new Jesus!"
