Mainline Protestant (Lutheran, Presybyterian, etc)

Not practicing though. I did believe in God, but I was bad. Lol... :lol_roll: (and if any sister reads this, do forgive me...but now you know the real me) Before my awesome conversion started, last year "Late '04" I would be in school, and a lot of things have happened to me in school, but I was at that age where you think it was okay to use God's name in vain.

So I did that often in middle school...I never swore except for using "hell" quite a bit, except one time where I reached into a 560 degree oven since I forgot to pull out the pan that was in there, and being freaked out grabbed the "metal" handle and cursed, Holy S of course my mom accepted that since I could have nearly burnt my hand off, but now...I am 100% Catholic New!

I was born and baptised a Presbyterian, but I was very non-religious all of my life before finding the Catholic Church, on my own. I guess you could've called me agnostic -- I certainly wasn't bold enough to reject the possibility of a God, but I also felt that religious people were overly bold in thinking that they knew exactly who God was, what He was like, and what He was all about. I was comfortable in that unknowing space for a long, long time. But then it came time for me to make a decision. I'm glad I did!

Lutheran. Its kind of amazing how similar they are to Rome, they have the same Sunday readings and such. Here's hoping that more will cross the Tiber.

I do miss the hot dish potlucks though.

My husband and I looked at each other at Easter Vigil thinking: "what are we doing here... this is crazy..."

Sorta like if we'd gone to Vegas, gotten really drunk and woke up the next morning married (well, we are married.... but you get the idea)....

Okay, not exactly, but similar..

craddle Cahotlic here... almost fit in the 'revert' category and had a period of my life that almost fell into the atheist category.

I thank the Lord daily for His gift of fatih.
