 Tis true.

But yes Cam, you have a good point. Most shows have no traces of morality in them, and 7th Heaven at least had the Christian/religious vibe going on. Even though there is no way that one family could go through that many dramatic events in their lifetime. Props to the show.

[quote name='Era Might' date='Dec 12 2005, 10:26 PM']btw, the mother on the show is Catholic in real life. She's done some work at a parish here in Dorchester, trying to keep the school open I think.

Catherine Hicks when to my alma mater- Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, IN. She apparently claimed in some interview that she actually when to Notre Dame (across the street). This disheartened me, but it was in the 70s, when ND went co-ed and the schools were thought to merge, so it's okay.

i used to be a faithful watcher up until a year or so ago. it's been going downhill. i watchi it if i'm not doing anything. their christmas show last night was halfway decent....a christmas episode that actually deals with the real meaning of christmas, imagine that.

[quote name='toledo_jesus' date='Dec 13 2005, 08:58 AM']The Shatner Effect, first documented in 1979, extends the coolness of a person who appears onscreen with the Shatner for longer than 30 seconds to almost idiotic proportions.  Indeed, the Shatner is much like the glue that holds all the universe together.  Perhaps we should just start calling it the Shatner-verse like the rest of world.  Seriously, we won't go metric and we refuse to adopt Shatnertonian laws of quantum dynamophysics.  That's what is wrong with America.

I used to watch that show alot. then we took off cable and in that time the show switched to UPN. Now we have satallite <sp?> and I watch it now and then on ABC Family... but yeah, the time between and such got me so lost, but that show is a pretty good at times. Reruns anyway, I haven't caughten a full episode of the new stuff.

[quote name='toledo_jesus' date='Dec 13 2005, 01:55 AM']Both Stephen Collins and Catherine Hicks were in Star Trek movies.  Collins was in the first movie, with V'Ger, and Hicks was in the fourth, with the whales.  That makes them totally cool forever throughout all time.

Yes, I remember that now!! Yeah, she was the lady with the whales! Isn't that Star Trek IV, The Journey Home? I liked that one...

I used to watch it all the time, but now it's unbearable to watch. I gave up on it when they had the musical show where the singing was off key and the lip syncing was really poor!

There were all kinds of kids who weren't Camdens on the show, and then Mary--who hasn't been on for ages--is still mentioned all the time. It's pretty cheesy.
