Hey I have some questions for homeschoolers here! I am really ill and the doctors can't find anything wrong with me (they've done blood tests, influenza tests, and an echocardiogram. The only thing left is a nerve problem.). Since I'm literally always weak, fatigued, and in constant pain, waking up so early, walking around school carrying all those books, and sitting in extremely uncomfortable desks for 8 hours is very taxing and I simply cannot focus.

Is it possible for me to start homeschooling at this level of education (I'm a junior in high school)?

Is it extremely expensive?

How do you graduate?

Sorry if these are silly questions, I just really have no idea how homeschooling works.

Yeah, you could definitely start homeschooling now. A friend of mine who is now a freshman in college started when he was going into his Junior year of highschool, and then he ended up graduating at the end of the year, skipping his senior year.
Homeschooling is usually cheaper than a private school would be, unless you are in a specific program; then it might get to be a little expensive. A book that I recommend reading is: Designing Your Own Classical Curriculum, by Laura Berquist. There is a lot of good information in there.
As for graduating, first of all, I would check to see if there are any homeschool support groups in your area. Where I live, there are pretty many groups, and we belong to a specifically Catholic group. That way, they can help you with graduation and any other things you might need help with. Also, check into Homeschool Legal Defense Association. I'm pretty sure that I will be getting a high school diploma from them (you can order them). If there are any more questions, please ask!
