Nathan
I have a St. Joseph's 'new testament' Bible I carry in my backpack. Its a really small one, something maybe you could fit in your pocket. I pull it out if I'm ever in class early and read it.
The one with the brown cover, right? If so, I have it too. I wish there were more Catholic Bibles in pocket-size.

And its not too nice that I don't mind if the corners get a little roughed up from carrying it around all the time. I do wish I could carry a Cathechism around.... At one time I made a sheet of paper with scripture cites to all the common questions we get about being Catholic, because we get a lot of kids handing out tracts every where on campus. I got one a few days ago just eating at Taco Bell. "Have you ever stolen? Told a lie? Then you're a lieing thief and going to hell!" haha it was very ironic because I had just (like no more than 5 mins before) come from confession, so I was like yes but I'm forgiven! and am good right now thank you... Quietfire
I cannot carry around the Haydock, it too heavy. (I think its like 15 pounds) And Im enjoying the footnotes far too much to EVER consider marking that up. I have a DR from the 40's that I dont mark up either. I was required to get a NAB and was told to make notes and highlight in it. Which I do. It helps me find references quickly. And I do keep it in my car whenever I leave the house. I read on my breaks and lunch and it helps to keep it handy.
HisChild
I have a leather Bible cover. I have marked in it in the past, but as posted above. . .later when I go to read it, the highlighted parts are just. . .distracting.

They are the sweetest pocket size catechisms ever. I can show you mine when we hang out over break. They are the exact same as the huge green hardcover ones, even the same pagnation, but they are printed on a slighly finer paper and are much smaller. They are very easy to carry around. phatcatholic
btw, i just saw the 2nd edition of the RSV-CE today, and its freakin NICE it has subtitles, which are always helpful, and the notes and cross-references are at the bottom of the page, instead of at the end of the old and new testaments. the paper stock is different too, much nicer. and it has color maps at the end. i want one bad now!!!!!!!
