"I should have had a whirl

and learned what the creatures think!"

Does that significant female in your life ever do or say something that just completely makes your head spin? I'll bet yes. Any tips on how to handle the world turning upside down, or at least on its side, guys?

Seminary? Deserted island? Hole in the ground?

Spin in a good way or bad?

(I've been a DW for 3 years, so I'm probably not the best to ask...)

She sent me something on the Legion of Christ seminaries and stuff, and she knows that I really want to be married in my life. So, I'm just wondering why she would do that?

(prays she never reads this) Or, maybe, did I tell her that I really want to be married? It's odd, because I do consider her someone that is on my "strong possibilities" list, so naturally when it comes to talking vocations and marriage, I kinda...well...hmm.....I guess I didn't tell her.

This could get uncomfortable.

Basically, women see men good for two reasons - they need them to have babies, and they need them to make money.

Oh, thanks, guys, real comforting. Is this way of saying "Your on your own?" What about brotherly love? What about watching out for each other? AUGHH!

this is one time when there isn't always a lot you will know about it. If you feel differently you might have to explain that to her ...

I guess I will. And, you know, there's always the chance she might she this, but she doesn't go to phatmass much. I just hope two things; one, I;ll figure out what to say, and 2, this thread gets buried before to long.

I know this is supposed to be guys talking about girls, but as a girl I would say there are two possibilities:
a) She doesn't know your vocation intentions and was just trying to be helpful and tell you about something she thought you might be interested in; or

b)She does know your vocation intentions, but thinks maybe you should consider the priesthood.

:idontknow: Either way, you should probably just say thanks for the info, but I don't think God is calling me to be a priest.

I promise, girls don't bite! (well, usually we don't anyway  )

We're good friends. I just don't want to be heartbroken, I've had enough of that, thank you very much. I've had quite enough of selfish loving. So, what's the point of loving unselfishly if you just going to be heartbroken anyways?

Make Mary you're #1 girl. She will never break your heart.

I know that, I know. IT's just...hard to remember. This is girl and I are very close.

Sometimes I hate boy/girl relationships. I hate the fact that it's so hard to just go back to being friends once you say something.

Learning the meaning of true love - self sacrifice, donation. Loving unselfishly will always involve some suffering, but what a gift to be able to unite ourselves to Christ and understand how great His love is for us! He kept loving unselfishly knowing that he would be heartbroken.

The good news though is that Christ loves us so much and all we have to do is to really believe in His love for us in order to overcome the fear of being heartbroken. Yes, love is hard, but it is also full of joy!

okay....i promise i will stop posting on the guys thread now :ninja:
