thessalonian
The vestments may be a bit tacky. But I think Bishop Kinney is solid. I sent him a letter regarding a priest who was preaching in favor of women priests in his diocese (I'm not in his diocese but my wife's grandma is). He sent me a very nice and positive letter back saying he would deal with the matter. His Homily on Sunday was one of the best I've heard in a long time on the Eucharist and other sacraments. Let's be a bit careful in judging a book by it's cover. Send him a respectful letter if you think he is out of line with this. He will listen I think. But be sure you have your ducks in a row. toledo_jesus
I find it hard to take them seriously. The Bishop's vestments were the least tacky, but the others really did look like nurse's uniforms.

Era Might
It says that the circus performances took place AFTER Mass:
The performances took place next to the church after Mass, Father Stampiglia said.
Sounds like it was just a Mass for the people in Circus ministry. I think the vestments look nice, actually.
Era Might
*Perhaps the vestments would be better if they downplayed the circus element more. I don't think it's necessarily bad that they depict scenes from circus ministry, but the white vestments are more sensible than the colorful ones, I think. The cross is prominent on the breast areas. His stole was covered in hundreds of scout patches from all the years and all the camps he had served. It was awesome, and meant a lot to all the Scouts. jezic
the idea does sound strange. If they didn't change the Mass parts or make "innovations" i think it would be alright. The name does sound a little bit like cannon fodder for people looking to bash the Church. It could use some work.

They had people swinging from chandaliers and what not. That doesn't sound like what happened here.
jasJis
I'm sure the Mass was invalid. There was no concencration. And all the attendees and bishops will burn in hell if they died today. The vestments broke the rules of the magic spells.

' St. Martha's use to be my parish. This is an outreach to people who travel and do not have a home parish. Fr. Fausto was one of the priests that I was talking to when I was thinking about becoming a priest. He is of the Palotine order. There are no abuses going on at this Parish. This is the only parish in our area with the Latin Mass. The Church is beautiful with a pipe organ. I was confirmed at St. Marthas. Did you even read it?! The circus activities do not happen in the Church.
MilesChristi
Yes, St. Martha's is a nice church, and, in my experience, the clergy are orthodox. I attend the indult Mass there whenever I'm in town to visit my grandmother.
