OLAM Dad
Taco Bell threatened to close its doors.
I don't think they would miss Taco Bell too much. If TB closed it's doors it would be us gringos protesting. Taqueria Arandas on the other hand would bring the immigrants (legal and otherwise) out in droves.

Sojourner
There were 15,000 protesters in Indianapolis this evening. I had to work or I would have gone. Actually I wish I'd skipped an hour or two of work to go. It may not be 500,000 ... but 15,000 is a heckuva lot of people to show up in support of legal immigration in Indiana. franciscanheart
Maybe I've got everything backwards but most of the people I was listening to talk about why they were marching were protesting sending illegal immigrants back to Mexico. They never said anything about legal immigration. There is already legal immigration. Maybe it is slow (slower on their side than ours) but they seem more concerned with being sent back even though they broke the law. They don't want to be labeled as criminals. No one was talking about legal issues... simply illegal issues and the consequences.

kamiller42
Seeing as though most Hispanics are Catholic, and Hispanics have the highest rate of abortions by race, I wish they showed as much fervor about the unborn being murdered. I love how those for illegal immigration conveniently leave off the "illegal" adjective when talking with those who support legal migration. Helps blur the lines and confuse the issue. :-\
Era Might
Nobody is "for" illegal immigration. That's the whole point: some things shouldn't be illegal.

A nation has a right to secure its borders. Whether you believe immigration should or shouldn't have a legal process doesn't really matter. The law of the land right now is you must legally immigrate.
