SJP
Name: SJP Age: 23 Why am I faithful? In part, I am faithful because I know what life is like without the Church. Through my own personal experience I can attest to the lies of the world vs. the Truth of the Church. No worldly pleasure can compare with Jesus and his Church. Akalyte
Akalyte Age: 25 Why I am Faithful: "but lord to whom shall we go?" Catholicism is everything to me and I try to get the youth more involved, using "catholicized hip-hop" Catholicism is the Answer. It is the only thing that can truly satisfy our entire being. Didacus
Et bien bonjours a nouveau mon pere, je suis confiant que tu as lu au complet les chapitres inscrits dans ces textes. Je vient tout juste de t'envoyer le message par courriel qui contient le lien a ce 'thread'. Father, this thread has been carrying on for about 4 days now, and as you can see there are many respondants. In time, this thread will grow many times this size I have no doubt. (all young faithfuls are welcomed to keep posting on this thread any time) These young people are fiathful, and very knowledgeable of their Church and faith; but don't take my word for it, take theirs. Ask them a question or two. Dare to post, and put them to the test. And you older church militants, Scholars out there, let the younger people take care of this. Ya hot stuff, I can see you there. Cam42, scratch that itch on another thread. Wether you choose to post or not father, I hope, as does everyone on this thread, that you can see at least a glimpse of the youth in the church as well as the ferver we share. I have no doubt that any one of the younger people on this thread would join me in saying; We are young, we are strong, and we are faithful. We are the future of the Holy Catholic Church in Her every form and we will not allow Her to fall astray nor Her doctrines to be forgotten! heavenseeker
Heavenseeker or Pod-rocker 18 soon to be 19 Why faithful: the Catholic Church is the coolest. I have always said that you just can't beat the original and full truth. I hope to get into youth ministry so I can help build up the church as a part of those younger than me. I will admit that I dont know nearly as much about the church as most of these guys and gals but also know a lot more than most others.
clg01
Screen name: Christ_like Age : 29 I grew up trying to adhere to the teaching of the Church of Christ. It always felt like I had to put forth an effort and the only gratification I got out of it all was that I wanted others to see how much I was being true to that church. I was, in essence, doing it for my family and not for myself nor, for God. I am the first catholic in my entire family. I am so proud, yet so humbled that Almighty God gave me heart, mind, and soul to know that the Catholic Church is the path to truly understanding His only Son, our Beloved Savior, Jesus Christ, and the teachings of His Church and the Blessed Sacrements in order to receive the glorious reward of eternal life. The Catholic Church has brought me a sense of self-worth, only to live in the Shadow of Jesus in the hope of fractionally coming close to the compassionate, forgiving, humble, prudent, obedient, faithful man that he was here on earth. My life has changed so much since my conversion; so much so that I cannot begin to put it into words. Suffice it to say, after graduating from university, I have committed my being in doing His work through catholic charities like Little Sisters of the Poor here in my community, Christ Power and special sessions for the youth at my local seminary, and studying as much as I can through scripture, meetings with priests, and catholic resources including phatmass. I have, by the Grace and Blessing of Almighty God, decided to devote my talents to becoming one of His priests (I Peter 2:5) instead of pursuing a life in medicine. I am truly blessed and so very undeserving of all that the Good Lord has bestowed upon me, most especially over the past couple of months. I love the Church. I love it so much that I often wonder how so many people cannot see the true meaning of the life each of us has because of the sacrifice offered for our sake. John 16:16 comes to my mind at this point. All we have to do is listen and then, only then can we begin to imagine the love for us and special place we have in our Father's heart. I cannot think of a better thing in this world than to be a catholic and a member of God's house. Edited July 8, 2006 by Christ_like
crystalblujay
SN: cefrybar (i'm rarely on though ) Faithful?: absolutely! Why?: Why am I faithful? That’s like asking why do I breath. My yearning for Christ and for home is so poignant that it can hurt. My heart IS restless until it rests in him... There is no other place but the Church where we can go and be home. I really can't adequately describe why I'm Catholic. There are a million reasons, and I don't think there are enough words to explain. I am because I love Christ and His Bride. blovedwolfofgod
my name is Dave, and im 21 years old. I came to fall in love with the Church two years ago in college when the protestants challenged me and I looked into the doctrine. now, im the Catechist of my Newman Club (appointed by the Priest) and i lead Bible study in my parish. I hope to teach RCIA for the parish at college3 this year, partly because the nun who teaches it now doesnt teach purgatory, so I have to wonder, if she is unfaithful on that doctrine, what other warped veiws are the catechumens getting? People say the Pope is scary, but I think that he is cool. I was VERY glad to hear that he was elected. I enjoy his writings a great deal.
