Please Pray For My Brother

Please pray for my little brother Billy. I guess he's not so little any more. But he is still younger than me, so little he will always be. He was diagnosed as HIV positive last year. Yesterday we were told he now has AIDS. He was sent to Federal prison last year and was given the maximum sentence under the pretense that there he would receive the medical he needed (as he had no insurance). This did not happen. The doctors tell us that had he received the medication it probably would not have developed into AIDS - at least not this soon.

Billy gets out of the half-way house next week. He was having a hard enough time trying to live knowing he was HIV positive. Living just got harder. He has two sons, a 13 year old and a 4 year old. He wants desparately to do right by them, and show them that their father is not a complete screw-up. While incarcerated, Billy has come back to the Church.

Please pray for him, that he have the courage to face his illness with dignity, that he may perserver (sp?) to see his sons grow a bit older, that he might not give in to weakness and temptation.

Please pray for my mother that she may have to courage to accept what God wills with grace.

Please pray for my sister who will blame herself and God - whom she is in denial of.

Please pray for my father who is absent and has turned his back on our family.

Please pray for me for the strength to give encouragement and support to my family in San Antonio and here in Houston.

Please pray for Don John as he has to live with me.
