A Friend Presumed Dead...

Please pray for my friend Enrique Jimenez. I just found out that he went missing Friday, and he's been presumed dead. He was having a tough time I think, recently... Just please pray for him and his family.

A trip to a Central Coast state park quickly turns tragic.



It happened near Spooner's Cove, a popular beach area surrounded by cliffs.

Witnesses say 18 year old Enrique Jimenez was walking on a rock when a wave swept him into the ocean.

Two fellow male students jumped in after him to help.

Rescue crews arrived on scene and pulled two of the men from the water.

Jimenez is presumed dead.

yesterday was his 18th birthday.

Cal Poly officials have confirmed that two separate groups, one involved in wow week activities and one from the United Raza organization, were at the park at the time of the incident.

"The group that was out here when they attempted to pull him in from the rocks, were able to get a rope out to him, and pull him in, but because of the wave action, they were not able to pull him up to the rocks," said park ranger Jeff Sears.

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's department dive team will decide Saturday whether they will continue the search.[/quote]
