brendan1104
Well considering that the FSSP operates totally under their local bishops... it's just as good as being at a diocesan parish. Same as with the Institute of Christ the King.

Like I said Fr. Sibley wears the maniple.
Another question: May the biretta be worn at all times as part of the priest's outfit like he may do with the cassock? Franimus
I know number 6 you can do, though I doubt you need bishop's permission. My parish and many others I have seen have the altar servers wearing cassocks and surplices. I wore white over red.
Lexi06
I think modern changes have confused people. I know of a Catholic church that has removed kneeling rails. This is sad. I think anything that takes us back to traditional spiritual masses and feelings would be welcome. Lately the bishops are changing weird things like less kneeling. I personally think we should still kneel if we have the host in our mouth. Some still do that in our church. Little things that didn't need changing. I don't think the Church should change anything just to make people happier. When you become a priest, tell your superiors what you would like to do. Mary wants this of her priests! Extra ecclesiam nulla salus
But I want to serve my Bishop.
i know that the FSSP will at times take people into their seminary that are not planning on joining their fraternity. i have also heard about people leaving the FSSP after going through the seminary. you could do that.
