Your Life As A Tv Show

A friend and I have been discussing our lives off and on for a while, as friends do, and we have joked several times about how our lives could be TV scripts. So I thought, maybe this could be a fun thread! Here's how it goes. Pitch your life as a TV show, including a brief description of characters, a sketch of the plot, and a theme song. Also, list which network you'd want to appear on. Then come up with a catchy name for the show.

I'll go first:

Type: Sitcom

Synopsis: A Catholic girl from Indiana moves to the big city to start a new life as a law student. From a study group which includes a conservative Lutheran and a libertarian Wiccan to life with a moody, possibly unstable pregnant housemate, she finds all sorts of of adventures in the city, then debriefs at the end of night with her friend, a homeschooling mother of three.

Theme song: Suddenly I See (KT Tunstall)

Network: ABC

homeschoolmom

Type: Made for TV movie

Synopsis: Catholic homeschooling mom of three struggles to balance her life between her Protestant homeschooling friends and her Catholic homeschooling friends. Characters include Protestant friend (played by Merideth Baxter) who never quite understood why HSmom became Catholic and who suffers one dramatic attention-seeking crisis after another.... and the Catholic friend (played by Valerie Bertinelli) who homeschools while gestating her 6th baby.

Still working on a title and theme song.

Network: Lifetime

I am trying to come up with a snazzy acronym using my name as one of the letters ... no luck yet.

:hehehe:

I like it! I might run into trademark issues though ... unless I pitched it to NBC.

This has potential . . . but who plays the lead role?

Well, we decided a few days ago that her evil fraternal twin is Gary Coleman. He would be an interesting choice in the lead.

It does -- great potential for good drama. At least I've found it to be quite dramatic.

My life is too boring to be a sitcom. It would literally be a show about nothing. I would rather be a radio show, so I can summon various audio clips like they do on the radio at opportune times.

No, like clips from television shows and movies. I think that would make a great novel, by the way, where the protagonist has a super power that allows him to summon audio clips. Maybe I'll write it some day.

I think you would do an awesome radio show ... have you considered going into radio?

Oh, right ... but maybe Gary could have a spot in the show too. He could do the voice-over narrating your thoughts ...
