I'm glad I'm not the only one who came to that conclusion

Desperate times call for desperate measures. From my experience you never know when you are going to need one.

But you KNOW you'll need one eventually. It isn't like anyone's going around thinking "I'm going to try to get through my entire life without a plugging up a toilet"

Well, its one thing if its an emergency and you, like, broke your own plunger, or your kids lost it, or you just don't have one for some bizarre reason... but who says "Can I borrow it for a week"??? I can see someone knocking and saying "My toilet is overflowing and I need a plunger! Can I borrow yours?" But "Can I borrow your plunger for a week"...Thats just weird. Besides, if it were the lady UPstairs and her toilet was overflowing you KNOW you'd want her to take it so it wouldn't overflow into your apartment.
I think toilet plungers are on that "do not borrow" list.

The list:

Toothbrushes
Underwear
Nose hair trimmers
Rectal thermometers
Socket sets
Dentures
False limbs
Toilet plungers
Most of that stuff could also be on a list called "Nah Man you can just keep it... now."

That could be messy....

The thought that you have an enema kit scares me.

She didn't say she had one... just that if she did, she wouldn't let you borrow it... or if she needed one. :pinch: she would buy one.

 • 2 weeks later...

We bought a new one. It needs to be broken in though, like a baseball glove.

There is a new twist to this story. The other day the front door was open (which was strange) and later a woman was seen coming out of her apartment with a mop and a bucket. We assumed she must have a cleaning woman come over (who didn't shut the front door). Which makes it even more strange that we never heard about our plunger again. How is this cleaning woman mixed up in all of this? We may never know...
