the_rev
I thought I'd like to start up the Saint Game again, because it is a great way to learn about saints, which will help us ask for intercessions from them! Hints: A Jesuit martyr He wandered through Malabar Cannonized in the 1900's (is that the twenty second century?)

Confessionator741
Born a Christian of a Chinese father and Filipino mother in Manila, Lorenzo Ruiz spoke both Chinese and Tagalog. He was educated by the Dominicans from whom he learned Spanish. As a layman, Lorenzo, a calligrapher, was married and a father of two sons and a daughter. In 1636 Lorenzo was accused of murder. He sought asylum on board ship with three Dominican priests, Antonio Gonzalez, Guillermo Courtet, and Miguel de Aozaraza, a Japanese priest, Vicente Shiwozuka de la Cruz, and a layman named Lazaro of Kyoto, a leper. The ship was bound for Japan where Christians were being persecuted. Upon landing, he and his companions were imprisoned and tortured for their Christian faith. Instead of renouncing his faith, Lorenzo and his companions were killed. They were canonized on October 18, 1987 in Rome. Their feast day is on September 28th. taken from: www.mycatholictradition.com/ lorenzo-ruiz.html He has a very interesting history, check it out!
