thanks for the info. i took a stroll across their website just now, but didn't see any images that i've used. perhaps you could be more specific? i'm not saying they're not there, just that i didn't notice any.

i use a variety of images - icons, holy cards, artwork - from the internet to make my wallpaper, and since it's always been for personal use, with no desire for profit, i've never paid too much attention to what image comes from where.

that being said, i'd never want to scandalize anyone, so please let me know if you think i've used pictures from a corrupted source so i can take them down and make new wallpaper. ... it's the least i could do in honor of our great saints

if you have a particular saint/feast that you were wondering about, just ask me first, because i have probably about 200 of these. i just haven't uploaded them all yet.

but yes, if you have art/icons/etc that you think might help, you could send it my way. i could always make alternate wallpaper if i already have one of a particular feast

i have multiple for St. Sebastian, in fact, because of my personal devotion.

thanks again for the info. i believe out of all my 200 or so wallpapers, 7 of them use images that were designed by Monastery, or whatever their name is. i spent some time reading up on the issue over the past days. here's my thoughts...

i would never buy anything from the group or support them financially. neither would i buy anything from Mormons or JWs. yet, if a Mormon artist painted a beautiful depiction of Christ on the cross, i might take a look at it in a museum and admire it. or if a JW made a wonderful St. Paul icon - we're being hypothetical here - i might set it as a wallpaper or such. the source does not necessarily negate the value of the object. many pagan temples were turned into Cathedrals in the early days of Christendom, after all.

so to me...if the best picture i can find of a saint comes from an all-too-human source, well then i consider it a process of [i]sanctification[/i]. what was once an object of err is now being used for good - bringing glory to God through the saints.
