They thought that it would be a little frightening to visitors to see her with wrinkles and sunken eyes, hence the wax. If you look a little harder, you can even see some discoloration, though not very much. Further, her fervor and piety alone are reason enough for veneration of this Saint. Her Incorruptibility is only a testament to these virtues, as well as to the life of the Kingdom to come. [img]http://saints.sqpn.com/saintc26.jpg[/img] Five-hundred years old and the only difference in her body is a discoloration of the skin due to the burning of oil lamps way back when. Her face and hands also have wax on them due to chapping from age. But otherwise, her body is the same.
