Thy Geekdom Come
Jennie got me addicted to the Stargate TV shows...am I the only one?
Laudate_Dominum
YES!! You are the only one!!! j/k, I've been resisting Stargate for years and I finally watched the old movie for the first time. Amy says I have to watch it all in order. I liked the movie (I can admit it) but the shows don't look the same based on the covers. I know, I know - don't judge something by the cover. Bah humbug! CatherineM
I like them, except for the last couple of seasons of Stargate and really liked Atlantis. It has been harder for me to watch here in Canada. We don't have cable, and the channel that runs the reruns is hard to get, and for some reason my husband objects to standing in the dining room holding the antenna just so I can get my scifi fix. Brother Adam
I will never see Richard Dean Anderson as anyone but MacGyver, so I just can't watch Stargate. I'm the sorry fool that sold the individual seasons of MacGyver so I could buy the 7 season megaset that included the two crappy made for TV movies for $40 more. Stargate the series is better than the movie...the cinematography isn't quite as good (at least not yet, I'm only on season two), but I'd blame that on their budget. It's getting better. The plot is good, though, it's like Star Trek meets Sliders.
Donna
Raphael, My eldest daughter got 6 (out of 7) of us hooked on SG1. What season are you on by now?
Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
I like stargate and star movies and series due to the undeniable truth that i believe that there are so many stars out there and possibilities, unsure hether there is other humanoid life and to whether or not GOD created the earth as the origin to life in the universe, and promised that we would number more than the stars in genisis and as far as we know the stars are uncountbale and to me this says that we get it right hear on earth than if we find other planets we take all the good that we have learnt and that these colonies(if there are other planets) will be given the best of the best from all areas of humanity ? i wonder, GOD is LOVE love dictates to give those whom you love all that is needed to live life to the full in virtue and food and clothing and housing. CatherineM
I heard they are trying to do a new movie as a sequel to the first movie, ignoring the TV series canon completely. They had wanted to do one originally that would take place 10-12 years into the future. They were going to use make-up on Kurt Russell and James Spader. Now they won't have to do that, and apparently both actors have signed on as interested dependent on the script being decent.
